Can you capture the rhythm, energy and movement of dance in a design?
Big Dance and the Institute of Imagination invited 5 – 14 year olds to ‘dance through their imagination’ and enter a competition to design the iconic London travelcard holder.
We have a winner!
The design by 12-year-old Oliver Chalcroft from Harpenden was chosen from over 500 entries as the winner! Darcey Bussell, ballet star and judge on the hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing, was a special guest judge and selected the final winner of the competition.
Oliver’s colourful creation has been reproduced onto a limited edition of 10,000 London Oyster Card holders, which will be distributed to Londoners across the summer. Get yours from a Big Dance Bus event near you!
Not only that, but Blippar, the world’s leading augmented reality platform, has brought the winning design to life! Download the app, frame the travelcard holder and watch it come to life!
